The Power Of The Anointing (Part 1)

This will be a short two part post on the power of the anointing.  In this first post, I want to share with you several aspects of the anointing.  Having an understanding of the anointing of God will help you to be able to see it at work in your life.

What The Anointing Is:

• The anointing is the power of God to set people free. 
• The anointing is the tangible presence of God in you.
• The anointing and the Holy Spirit are one.  You can't separate the anointing and the Holy
  
  Spirit.
• The anointing is something you have because you have the Holy Spirit, but often believers never activate that anointing in their life.
• The anointing is not feeling, hype, or emotions.  It can create feelings and emotions, but that is not what it is.
• The anointing is the empowerment to do the work of the ministry.
• It is the anointing that brings life to ministry.

There is no reason for you to have the anointing if you are not going to use it.  The anointing is not just there so you can feel good.  It's time we stop looking for a feeling and start acting in obedience.  Sing, witness, pray, and participate whether you feel like it or not and the anointing will rise up in you.

Next time I want to share with you what the anointing does for the believer and what it produces in the lives of those it impacts.
