This is the final post on "Breaking The Chains Of Bondage." I pray it will be helpful to you in getting free from Satan's chains because the longer a stronghold remains the more difficult it is to deal with and get free of.
1. Admit The Truth
Most people don't want to admit that they are in bondage to something. But being truthful with yourself and with God is the first step to being free. Admitting the truth can be very hard for some people, but it is absolutely necessary if you want to be free from the bondage.
2. Recognize What Strongholds You Have
We normally recognize what strongholds we have by God revealing them to us. This is best
accomplished by examining your life using the Word of God. When you have certain attitudes or thinking that are inconsistent with God's Word it is very likely an area of stronghold. Denying that these strongholds exist will only make it worse.
3. Repent Of The Stronghold
To repent from something means to "turn away" from it. When you repent of the stronghold, you will turn from it. True repentance will produce results (Matthew 3:8).
4. Build Yourself Up With The Word Of God
It is vital that you build yourself up with the Word of God. It is the joy of the Lord that defeats depression; it is living a life of faith the destroys unbelief; it is aggressive love that casts out fear. All of this is accomplished by studying and meditating on the Word of God. It is the Word we know that gives us the authority to be set free (John 8:31-32).
5. Monitor Your Life With The Word Of God
Begin by confessing the Word of God over your life everyday; that includes the good days and the bad days. As you get closer to God and walk in His Word it will help you grow stronger everyday. You will then begin to see the strongholds leave your life.
Jesus is the great Liberator who wants to give you freedom, joy, and abundant life. Don't remain enslaved. Be set free by giving yourself fully to Jesus Christ. Remember to use your spiritual weapons: The written Word of God; the Name of Jesus, the Blood of Jesus; the word of your Testimony.
God will set you free!
