How The Gospel Is To Be Presented
1 Thessalonians 1:5 tells us how the Gospel is to be presented: "For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake." So the Gospel is to be presented:
- In Word--in other words the Gospel is to be preached!
- In Power--with the anointing!
- In the Holy Ghost--we have to have the Holy Ghost or we are helpless!
- In much Assurance--with faith!
The power of the Holy Spirit will do more for you than you can imagine, if only you will allow Him to have control.
- It will change your life and empower you! Just as the lives of the disciples were changed on the Day of Pentecost and Peter preached the Gospel with power, so too will your life be changed and empowered.
- It will give you a new perspective for life and ministry. Most Christians don't know where they fit in the Body of Christ. But God has something for each Believer to do, and the power of the Holy Spirit at work in your life will help you discover your ministry and gifts!
- It will give you a heart and desire for ministry. God didn't place you here on earth for no reason. He wants you to have the same heart as He does for His creation! When a Believer realizes they have a ministry, and allows the Holy Spirit to direct their life, then that ministry will become important to them and God will effectively use them.
- It will give you the confidence you need for ministry. The Holy Spirit gives the Believer a boldness to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ! We need the Holy Spirit boldness in our life.
